CO2 and Decarbonisation

This area connects routine plant measurements to decisions about energy, quality, capacity, maintenance and process stability.

Why it matters now

Carbon numbers are now reported to regulators, lenders and customers, and they are audited. A plant that cannot show where its CO2 comes from cannot defend it - and cannot find the cheapest tonne to remove.

What it helps decide

What the plant actually emits across Scope 1, 2 and 3, which part is calcination and which is fuel and power, how intensity compares against production, and where the number is telling you the plant is running inefficiently rather than simply making clinker.

What subscription adds

Keep the inventory year on year, reuse the same emission factors and boundaries across reporting periods, and produce a report structured the way an auditor expects to read it.

Built on the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, its Scope 2 and Scope 3 guidance, and IPCC default fuel factors, with structure informed by GCCA cement CO2 and energy reporting.
